Care Guide
Our pieces are made to last. We use 316L stainless steel with PVD gold plating which is one of the most durable finishes available in jewellery, significantly more resistant to fading than gold plated silver. This means you can shower, wash your hands, and go about your day without worrying about the colour fading. However, there are things that can affect the finish over time, so here is how to care for your pieces.
Chemicals and beauty products Perfume, body lotion, deodorant, hairspray and other beauty products all contain chemicals that can gradually wear down the gold finish and dull natural stones. We recommend applying these before putting your jewellery on.
After exposure to water, sweat or chlorine Rinse your pieces with clean water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Sweat, chlorine and saltwater are acidic and can affect the gold finish over time with repeated exposure.
Cleaning
- Wipe your pieces with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear to remove dirt, oils and sweat
- For a deeper clean, use warm water with a small amount of mild soap, rinse well, and dry thoroughly
- Do not soak pieces as prolonged exposure to water can loosen stone settings
- Never use abrasive cloths, polishing cloths, or ultrasonic cleaners as these can damage both the gold finish and natural stones
- If your pieces start to lose their shine, gently buff with a microfibre cloth
Storage
- Store your pieces in the pouch they arrived in, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight
- Natural stones can fade with prolonged heat and sun exposure
- Store pieces separately to avoid scratching
